Dr. Ben Dor received his B.Sc in Physics from the University of Tel-Aviv, and his M.Sc and Ph.D. in Applied Physics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, both in Israel. His Ph.D. research, both applicative and fundamental, focused on the chiral induced spin-selectivity effect, in which electrons propagating through self-assembled monolayers of chiral molecules become highly spin polarized. In his postdoctoral research he utilizes a single nitrogen vacancy center in diamond, acting as a sensitive magnetometer, in nano-scaled proximity to a chiral self-assembled monolayer, in order to study the molecules magnetic dipoles via nuclear magnetic resonance protocols.
